I have been warning about this for some time.
In operation, windmills convert wind energy to electricity. That means they have to remove some of the energy to do work from moving air. But that means reducing the wind and the effect of the wind. Wind distributes seeds, moves topsoil and moderates temperatures over large regions. This act of moderating temperatures is reduced by windmills.
The same with solar farms. With their large areas of shiny, reflective surfaces, they evaporate clouds forming overhead, they superheat dust particles in the air and they produce massive disparities between the temperature of the air and the ground.
