An excellent device, it should be capable of being blisteringly fast. (With an ultra-thin and tunnelling accelerated channel switching) The novel fabrication, and lack of its CMOS complementary device, means that we wont be seeing any CPU's in it in the near future though. Unless the vertical/tunnelling channel can realised in silicon via some etched 3D isolation and some sharp doping.
It would be great to know how fast this tunnelling device could be.

Haven't we heard of this before? Anyone remember Tunnel Diodes?
